I think they’ve found a great way to port the rhetoric to the other side. By saying the problems are all done to racism/sexism/whatever from the lower and middle classes rather than corporate control of the economy and government.

It’s just a different scapegoat from the one the other side uses, with fairly similar rhetoric used against them. Another attempt to generate a feeling of ‘us vs them’ with one group of poorer people against another one.
