Yeah, a lot of successful anonymous sites are like that because of moderation. And even 4chan has some of it.

But what of say, 8chan? The site is virtually unmoderated, the only rules seem to be against outright illegal content and any kind of civility is just about ignored altogether. Yet it’s doing pretty well regardless.
